| 4. | Leírás | Absztrakt | The Hungarian version of the Open Archival Information System (OAIS)reference model standard (MSZ 14721) has been published. Recently, more andmore is discussed in Hungary about the packaging procedure recommended bythe reference model for long-term digital preservation, and this paper aims toshed light on its essence and usefulness. It deals with what content is requiredby the OAIS exactly and with the packaging recommendations that have beendeveloped as a result of the OAIS (e.g. the packages recommended by the E-Arkproject), and why these content elements are relevant for long-term digitalpreservation. It examines which established practices are based on the useof other standards and recommendations (METS, PREMIS, etc.). It will showhow packages can be used in different digital content management processes(both digitised and born digital preservation): their role in ingest, preservation,providing access.
